and across the European Union, free of charge, without credit and without a SIM.

- 1414 — Rega, Swiss air rescue, 24/7. From abroad +41 333 333 333.
- 117 · 118 — police and fire brigade, Switzerland.
Health, when it is not urgent
- 116117 — out-of-hours doctor, Italy. Free. Weekdays 20:00-08:00, all day at weekends and on public holidays. In Lombardy it also reaches the tourist medical service, which is the one that covers visitors.
- 145 — Tox Info Suisse, poison advice, 24/7, free. It covers animals too.
Children
- 114 — child emergency line, Italy. Free, 24/7, every day of the year. Anyone can report a situation that puts a child at risk.
- 147 — Pro Juventute, Switzerland. Advice for children and young people, 24/7, free and anonymous.
- 143 — Die Dargebotene Hand, Switzerland. Support for adults, 24/7.
Before you go out
Write down: the address you are at, including the floor; the mobile number of both parents; the name and number of the child's doctor; any allergy, in full words, not abbreviations. A sitter who has to explain where they are while a child is crying is a sitter losing minutes.
